those are our summer shows that are planned, we will be offering live event sales at each show as well.

The new products that have launched sense the last update are: sweet grass braids, and liquid soap.

sweet grass : Burned to promote happiness, open heartedness and harmony, sweetgrass is a sacred plant like sage that has long been used in smudging ceremonies.

Yet unlike sage, which is a shrub, sweetgrass is actually a type of grass. Traditionally, sage has been used to ward off evil spirits and cleanse a space, person or object. But sweetgrass—also called holy grass, vanilla grass, bison grass or buffalo grass—essentially does the opposite; because the grass normally bends, not breaks, when walked upon in the wild, it’s believed to symbolize kindness.

To many noses, sweetgrass has a distinct, vanilla-like scent, although to others, the aroma is more like that of a freshly mowed lawn or a bale of freshly cut hay. The leaves of the sweetgrass plant are sturdy but very fine, almost hair-like, which is why it’s often braided. This could be why natives also refer to sacred sweetgrass as “the hair of Mother Earth.”

Liquid Soap: Handcrafted and made right here in house is our new liquid soap. We have sold liquid soap before but nothing like these soaps now. these liquid soaps are vibrant with color and fresh scented with fragrance oils and essential oils. we also offer unscented as well for people who dislike color and scent. these soaps are made from pure coconut oil and since they are liquid they have to be preserved with one of the best and safest preservatives out there; phenonip. while listing the preservative on each bottle we use transparency in this preservative. we list all ingredients that come in that one preservative. Leading to a rather large looking ingredients list but something that lists important chemicals that are safe for the skin and human body. This product tests my boundary's at soap making, with using a preservative and plastic bottles. It is well worth the push though and leaves you with a phenomenal product for your daily hygiene.

with that I thank you for keeping updated with our shop and all the fun and exciting news happening here at Pratt's Soapery. Lets look forward to a fun and eventful summer!

Owner,

Jai Pratt
